Impact Areas
The Impact Lab focuses on impact areas where urgency meets opportunity, and we never do it alone.
Food Systems and Sustainability
The Impact Lab’s Food Systems and Sustainability Practicum empowers students to address the 1.24 million pounds of daily food waste in Travis County and help unlock the 330 million-pound surplus to support 160,000 food-insecure residents.
Health Outcomes, AI and Ethics
The Health Outcomes, AI & Ethics Practicum gives students the chance to reduce the $280 million annual cost and 9,000 years of life lost in Travis County by improving health equity through ethical, data-driven solutions.
Partners in Impact
Our dynamic local ecosystem includes dozens of community, government and industry partners. These partners are actively engaged and provide students with real-world context and meaningful feedback.
Our collaborative impact-first approach creates results that matter to our partners, stemming from the project work by students.
