Freshman Research Initiative
The Freshman Research Initiative (FRI) is one of the largest and most innovative undergraduate research programs in the country. Designed specifically for first-year students in the College of Natural Sciences, FRI offers a unique opportunity to jump into real-world, faculty-led research from the very beginning of your college journey.
Whether you’re interested in genetics, artificial intelligence, environmental science or beyond, there’s a research stream for you. You’ll gain hands-on lab experience and have the chance to publish your work or present at conferences.

Technology & Science Undergraduate Research Forum
Present your research at the Undergraduate Research Forum every spring.
