These activities enhance personal development by fostering empathy and leadership, while also offering practical experiences that deepen understanding of social issues and community dynamics. The Office of Experiential Learning offers students in the College of Natural Sciences meaningful ways to engage with the community while building practical skills and solving real-world problems. Through innovative programs like Impact Lab and Hello Maker Studio, students collaborate with partners, design creative solutions, and make a tangible difference—all while earning course credit and developing as STEM leaders.

Bridging Disciplines Program
The Bridging Disciplines Program (BDP) offers students the chance to explore interdisciplinary topics through certificate programs that combine coursework with hands-on, project-based learning. Many BDP courses include semester-long team projects for real-world clients and organizations, giving students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in meaningful, practical ways. With sixteen different certificates to choose from, students can tailor their experience to match their interests and career goals.
